Do you love big bluegill?
My current project is the damsel fly. I've read so much about them lately, that I'm starting to feel like an entomologist!
This is just a trial, which proved several points to me:
1. Dub with marabou (thanks Tooty)
2. Apply the legs differently.
3. Keep the body sparse, not chunky.

Good first try, David! I bet it will catch fish. Something I have noticed is most bugs that fall in the water are not perfect. They may have messed up legs, or a broken wing, which may be why they ended up in the water in the first place.Fish are opportunistic feeders picking off the easiest weak prey first. Perfectly tied flies are nice for us to look at, but I really don't think the fish care that much.
