Ohhh bass fishing.  To me i feel like bass fisherman don't truly enjoy the FULL aspect of fishing, seeing as they  try to only catch one thing, then, in my experience at least, talk down on anything smaller than 5lbs, while they are just repeatedly casting these fancy lures and not catching anything at all. Whereas my fishing buddies and myself, and the BBG community are real fisherman, appreciate catching all types of fish regardless of size or species (i know it's a BBG forum, but there are always photos of other species!), appreciate the beauty of the places we fish and the fish themselves, and respect the environment by not trashing places and picking up stuff.   Sorry for the rant, but after multiple run in's with bass fisherman lately, and all the links about bass it got me riled up haha.

I went and grabbed a biscuit this morning and rode down to the harbor and ten trailers were at the downtown launch on the Pasquotank.......all members of a Virginia Bass Club....I'm getting ready to ride back down there for the weigh in.....Last week three fish at 10.2 pounds won the amateur tournament while many of them joked about me chasing bait fish.....I like it that way......part of my success is having so many areas with no pressure...

I now view the North Carolina rivers among the premier public bluegill waters in the nation for sheer numbers of high-quality fish. Throw in the white and yellow perch, shellcrackers, channel cats, crappie and fliers and this is clearly a vast, and panfish-rich, ecosystem. And yet the majority of the angling public still wants to spend millions on marginal bass fishing venues and compete in tournaments. Go figure...

Thanks Troy......I wish that was true but I'm not always successful......Sometimes you try every trick in the book and things just don't work out......I've put the time in on these waters and keep a detailed diary and things normally repeat themselves when it comes to panfish...Fortunately I have multiple venues that prodcue quality fish which allows me the ability to overcome most weather obstacles.....I read a lot and I always look for new ideas to sharpen my saw so to speak......Thanks Again
