Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

This was right at 2lb and was released - got to be over the mark now. Nice birthday present though. Water temp was 67.9, wind picked up early.

...and many congratulations on the successful release. Any notoriety you would have received from taking it home is far exceeded by the respect you gain from all your buddies here at BBG.

Wow!  Very cool LH!  Glad to hear you put her back. And Happy Birthday bro!  One of these days I need to get back in the boat with you.  Having too much fun in the 'tube, but the bummer thing is that there's no electronics...

Indeed...a great, GREAT fish by any measure! That is one very tall bluegill!

I have to make plans for a So-Cal visit!

Now that's a pie plate bluegill and trophy fish anyway you slice it. I like the fact that these fish are gaining this size naturally, no offense to the people who feed their fish. To me, it's much more satisfying knowing I'm catching these monsters in their natural form, no tampering with the diet by man...that's refreshing IMO.

How much will this Hen weigh full of eggs! Its pretty encouraging when these chunky hens are laying the eggs in your body of water! Another great fish LedHEd!
