No, but the north end of the lake nearby I ice fished twice still had some ice on it . This lake was completely open ,even in the North fingers .

The plan was to float a bait through the column as the 14 mph winds pushed the bait across a gravel/sand flat ,while casting a crawler tipped spoon and through vibration attract Trout to the area.
