I believe they are both temperate basses hence the similar look. However, there are no white perch in Utah so someone else will have to do a side by side shot. :-)

We need a photo of a White Bass and a White Perch side by side 'cause they sure do look alike.

Those are white bass. They may look a little washed out because of the water clarity and ice.
