Thanks, Chris. Bob Lusk, the lake manager at Richmond Mills, tells us that this fish is very likely only 6 years old. But it does look like a rugged survivor.

Some bluegill go in to a purplish hue when their "angry". A big bull bluegill doesn't like handled.
