Do you love big bluegill?
Stopped at Jay’ s Sporting Goods to pick up a black willow leaf spinner bait all out of black so I settled for purple. Got on the lake and settled into one of my favorite spots. First cast of the day with the new spinner bait produced a small lm bass. Quickly got into a pattern of small gills on the ice jig pink maggot combo and drop shot and crawler. Moved down the the lake to spot number two which was a little deeper… marked a few solitary fish along the way in 15 to 20 ft 1 ft off the bottom. Continued catching small fish. Moved back over the marked solitary fish waypoints and hooked up with the 9.7” gill continued moving around the basin and making short casts to targets and hooking up with quality fish. Definitely defined the pattern for the morning early afternoon. Rain cut me short mid afternoon.

back in the early eighties with reading Fishing Facts Magazine and In-Fisherman i remember two equations 10 percent of the lake holds 90 percent of the fish and 10 percent of the fisherman catch ninety percent of the fish... been trying really hard to hit that 10 percent in both equations. by
