Yes! They can definitely be cocky! I help collect them for our State Fair, and the ones that are put in confinement with largemouth bass will head-butt the LMB into submission!

I know exactly what you are talking about! I have caught a few gills on 5/8 oz flippin jigs with full pork chunk attach to the rig. They show no fear! I wonder if it is safe to swim at times! LOL!!!

I was fishing for stripers in a lake that I didn't even know had bluegill!

Hey Bruce, as you already know these tiny Warriors are truly aggressive and fearless and will attack any prey (and perhaps predators too) that get near their attack zone!!!! They never cease to amaze me with their fighting spirit!!!!
