Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

13" Bass ,pale but fairly fat and tough for it's size.Hit a Mepps #2 spinner /Chartreuse ,trolling by a stream inlet .Water quality horrendous at Cupsaw lake . First time in the boat at Cupsaw lake this year and first with trolling motor /10' jonboat. The sensitivity of the CX Pline was great during the fighting of this small fish on 6# test .

dealing with some bad water conditions here to John... toughest one for me to deal with is all the weed clippings on top of the water surface... can hardly make a 10' cast lately

I hear ya Adam , but I had a much better time yesterday at a nicer body of water .My home lake is just not the same at all with the weed treatments .I am angry about that but another public lake nearby is very pleasant to fish .I trolled up three nice Pickerel I released and one  small Trout I kept yesterday .They all took the same 4A Bomber Crankbait (Creek Craw pattern) trolled outside the pads and weeds .

Nice bass, John. Just about any fish is welcome on the end of the line when you think you might get skunked.

Very thin diameter for 6# test Carl ,long casts .Liking it so far and noticing improved sensitivity over the mono I was using before on that reel. I am anxious to try it out on Crappie like I was catching late fall through early winter last year.
