Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

December Daily Double......Small 6" Class Seed and a 10" Copper

Had fun on a Duck Dynasty kind of morning......Wood ducks were getting hammered nearby and I stuck it out for a few hours before boat control was a struggle in the high winds........

Fished the same location this past Saturday and interestingly enough I caught some 10" class Bluegill and several small Seeds just like late December in 2014.........it's funny how things repeat.........early Saturday we had struggled for a few largemouth and white perch when I suggested we should visit the basin in a local creek that I have normally done well in water below 50 degrees.........got to the spot and caught a solid gill on the first drop.........ended up salvaging the trip on that move.........TRUST YOUR INSTINCTS

Good luck this spring when you get back on the fish Tooty......I'll fish every chance I get but 2015 is going to be a demanding year professionally but it comes with the territory.......

I THINK THAT IS SOUND ADVICE for anyone Jeffrey. As you know I'll be retired 13 years in August 2015 and the time had gone by so fast it seems like a blurr..... I know next spring is coming and look forward to it and just relaxing this winter with just a little bug making for something to do.

I think you are right about folks waiting to enjoy life and it never shows up for em . Either they get sick, just plain gone . It;s sad to think of many of my friends who are gone now that never enjoyed a day of retirement or very little.

Fish while ya can and do all the stuff you can afford to do , and the rest will pretty much take care of itself in one way or another ......

Winter is definitely my least favorite time to fish Carl but I don't like the idea of an off season so I go when I can. Still in the work force and insist on a balance to be sharp in both areas.......I know too many people that talk about enjoying life one day and for most that day never comes.......the years are rolling by and I want to enjoy my fishing while I can.........

Hang in there Slip......it's below freezing tonight down here on the coast so it's gotta be cold up North!
