Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Got 17 gills, 5 bass and the one big crappie this evening. Gills took the 1/100 th oz thread-bodied hair jig tipped with bait.

I had gills up to 9.5 inches that day and today got a couple nudging 10 with a 'big' 1/64 th oz jig. Got some big slab crappie today...will post soon.

I am using 2 pound SOS mono with a very small foam bobber to give me a little casting gusto. Allowed to drift with the wind, the foam bobber goes under very easily when a gill takes it.
