I am falling short of good work on my jig tieing but thanks for the encouragement . Love Smallies but haven't been fishing lakes that have them .Gonna have to get out to the other lakes and try these for Smallies . Most of the Smallies I caught were on 16th oz jig heads with Purple or White Twister Tails.Black Bucktails are a Smallie killer too.

Wixom Lake, MI... im new to this area and was limited to shoreline fishing mainly because of my disability... and have fished quite a few days during the summer for therapy etc at the boat launch a couple miles from my place. well the smallmouths just loved the rubber hair jig with a grub trailer... started out with 3/8 oz and a 4" trailer catching quite a few than downsizing and catching more... im down to 3/16 oz and experimenting further... they really like the black/blue/purple. keep up the good work on the jigs!

What Lake is that Kenneth? I plan on making more of these fox hair/Turkey Tail jigs.I lost this one after catching Perch and Largemouth Bass on it. It's in a log under Pompton Lake.
