Breezy with a slack tide but I still managed to pick up 9 nice Coppernose and this was the best one of the bunch.....All fish released today.....

Many studies have been done Jim with different results but there appears to be some correlation with the vibrant male coloring and actively spawning......My personal experience has been that I always see some copper but I believe the males transition......For example this male doesn't appear to be an active spawner to me but I did stay at a "Residence Inn" last night.......Fishing beliefs are etched in years of experience and I've been catching wild Coppernose for a very long time.......

It was like somebody hit them with a Sharpie Jim....you can hardly pickup the spawning purple and copper on these guys!
