So here's the story behind this fishing trip . Joe an old friend from the old neighborhood has come up north unannounced on two other occasions and has caught me at the office on two different lakes. Both times he has joined me on the boat used one of my poles and got skunked both times. June 19th he shows up for my son's grad party and wants to fish the following morning and informs me he has brought his own gear this time spinning rod , worm harmesses and night crawlers.
So we start the next morning slowly with breakfast, coffee and a little ride down to the little natural lake with the crappie bite. I start up the motor turn on the lowrance. As we are heading out to spot 1 i inform him of the water temp (76) show him the lake map i created and show him fish suspended off the main drop off 9ft to 27 ft. He casts out his worm setup and let's it hit bottom while i drop anchor because my trolling motor is on the fix it list. He sits there and waits as i cast my 1/16 Oz yammaminnow on the edge of the break. Wham first cast largemouth of 17in is landed with an impressive fight and drag singing chorus. Pictures are taken and the fish is quickly released. I proceeded to catch 5 10 in plus crappies out of the next 6 casts. Joe then politely asks for one of my jig rods. He then starts keeping up with me on crappies one for one and ends up landing the largest at just under 13. Good memories with a good friend!

Great montage, Ken.

Youre a master of the arms-length "fish selfie."

(weird though - I see bass, crappie and kitties... but no gills!)
