She's got some really pretty diamond shaped markings on her front half too. Very cool and unique fish. We used to have a big channel cat in our pond that we'd catch year after year that only had one eye, it's neat catching the same fish over again.
Adam...we call her 'Swooptail' because of the deformity in the top of her tail fin. We have also identified two other big bass with a similar trait. She was caught and released 4 times last year from this 2 acre pond and , yes, she is in spawning mode, so she's a little bigger and heavier. Matt caught her for the first time last year...
Then, I got her on 2 pound test about a month later when she was about spawned out...
This is just positive proof that catch and release, especially in small venues, can be rewarding and allows others to enjoy a great fish!
Great bass, you can't seem to keep that fish off your hooks. Looks like she gained some weight since last year.
