Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

My first Solid Gill of 2013...A Bagley's Swamp 10.75"

What a blast to fish public waters all by myself today and catch quality Tidal Water Panfish....It's not an addiction, it's an obsession for me.....Coastal North Carolina rocks and it just got harder to sleep at night! Out of 36 Gills today, 20 were over 9" and three were 10" or over.....

My 2013 Gill season is officially underway now! A great day on the water after I worked first....that's why I love this time of year and daylight savings time!

First big blowout with them this afternoon Jim....no surprise when our water shot up to 76 degrees with record air temperatures in the tidewater...many locations hit 90 today or a little above! This fish hit a 1/80th ounce ledhed jig with a live cricket only....very shallow in heavy downed cypress wood.....

High quality gillin anywhere on the planet! Congrats!

Looks like you got into some coppers, Jeffrey!

Thanks Tony....had some beautiful Bluegill today and I'm pumped up now......This mini heat wave has jumped the water temperatures and the fish responded in a fury.....I didn't even launch until after 4:00 p.m. this afternoon!
