Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

This fish was 18" I didn't weigh her but don't feel like a liar when I say about 3 and 3/4 lbs. A thrill to be wading in the water up to my waist ,wearing old jeans and sneakers and having this encounter . Took a Philips, 'Crippled Killer' .Dual prop top water bait .12# test ,Quantum Alliance Med.Heavy Spinning Rod ,Penn Silverado Reel .Handled the fish well .I got her inside the weedline parallel casting .

Thank you Ken. Hula Poppers ,Jitterbugs , Chuggers  yup great lures that have accounted for fine Bass for me in years past but the last three years I am having success with the dual and single prop baits. They've become  favorites to throw .Especially a dual prop this size or a bit bigger .
