The abundance of these marsh grasses holds millions of the little crustaceans that fish love......In the Spring and Summer the Bluegill will pack these areas and set up their beds allowing the grass shrimp to pass through almost continually.....

In this shot there is a large Bluegill bed to the right of this dead tree about where the orange float sits....In this dark water at four feet, this bed was never visible to the naked eye.....
