After a flooding storm Brown Bullheads were on the move in the murky water.7 of these Gravid sporting Fighters and an 8th dropped at my feet.

Yes, those spiny fins (Three of them) are there to watch out for. I have a careful 3 finger grip that serves me. I still have to play Guitar and don't want a Bullhead interfering with that. The Bheads were at the same spot today and hitting worms on Float Rigs and Bottom rigs.

Have been catching bullheads again the last couple years,i do not know why they kind of diappeared for a decade.Used to be the most common fish in most ponds.Caught a good one with one of the grandsons 3yo .He yanked on his pole while i was unhooking  it and one of the side spines went under my finger nail and was a bloody painful mess.Yes those are stingers.My finger blew up and throbbed for the rest of the day.The little dude still thinks it was all quite funny.

For sure Jeff ! A little Jaunt at my favorite Shore Fishing spot down the road before coming back to the House for opening Day Yankee Baseball win against Rival Red Sox !
