JG - the fish here have so much to eat, you never see a skinny BG, Crappie or RE. Way too much food and mild winter makes big pan fish.

BC - We dont' have the Quaggas, yet, but we do have fresh water clams. The REs eat up on the clams (finally making a come back after they dropped the water level) and all the bug hatches. We are catchin REs on the jig & cricket combo right now. Would catch a lot more with crawlers but you would get too many PMDs also.

The BGs are eating everyting, surprised we catch them with jigs. These fish are mean and gluttons. About a third of what we catch are gut hooked - the smallest jig we can use is a 1/32nd with a #8 hook.

What is it eating? The redears eat Quaggas, right?  But what about the bluegill?

Ten inch gills in my area just make it over the 1-pound mark. I have a pic of a 1-12 hybrid that looks like something out of a science fiction movie, but they still don't look loke those fish Wow!

Good eye TD - 1.75. Next year it will gain another inch and make 2.

Jeez, I'd crap my pants if I pulled that into the boat...that thing looks to be 1.8lbs at least. If that fish was 12 inches, it'd be a MONSTER of freak size.

These fish are so fat, looks like they are laying on a tennis ball!
