Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

This was caught by someone else from a different river system not far from most my other longears. Not sure if this is just another phase of the same longear or different species altogether.

Jeff, Here in Oklahoma thats is called a punpkin seed. The pumpkin seeds up north look different. Funny how the name for some change in different parts of this GREAT COUNTRY. Those are beautiful fish!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That a unique and beautiful looking specimen.. Must be longear x redbreast cross... I hear when the two are in the same river system, the redbreast always out competes the longears.
