I usually fish for a bg dinner about 2 times a year... my family prefers farm raised tilapia.i would love to see slot limits imposed on all bluegill harvesting

Yes Jim perhaps if I keep and eat more 7.5-8"ers Those 9" will become more frequent

Just read it...outstanding piece from Dr. Willis. Makes perfect sense, and it is easy to understand how so many fisheries suffer from 'down sizing' of the top-end bluegill size structure due to overharvest. Releasing the beasts is at least one way we can preserve fisheries for large panfish, especially bluegills.
