Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Just ran out of 2” Power Minnows and my current source never seems to have any on hand… so I purchased Lil Minnow’s larger cousin at 2.25”. Naming it Mid Minnow… can’t wait to try em out

Very nice Y.Perch John!... obviously you were probably fishing for Bass or Pickerel with that bait… so the tight schooling nature of the species and fish basically school to size… did you follow up casting the area with Y.Perch style baits to test for more?

That lure is 3 " body 2" bill. The Perch was 13.5"

Don't get me started on 10" Yellow Perch!  I caught one a couple months ago on a live Creek Chub that was 4" long.  A couple weeks late, I caught an 8" YP on a Rebel T10 Jumping Minnow (topwater Bass lure), the lure is about 4" long.  Completely surprised me on the topwater!

that bait looks good... i have a falling off point with B.Gill once the bait reaches 2"... i start tagging more B.Crappie as the bait gets longer.

Keitech makes a 2" minnow called the Easy Shiner. It's got a paddle tail though .I've caught a few Crappie on the 3" and 4" sizes.

i have a feeling the B.Crappie are going to bite well on them.
