Appreciate it David.....I've caught them in the Cooper River and Lake Moultrie down in South Carolina but I wasn't interested in getting a replica then......There's so much talent out there accessible now because of the internet so I'm excited again.......I've got big Fliers in Minnesota now going through the taxidermy process with BBG member Tim Overbaugh......

WEll, I hope you make it. If anyone can do it, you can! Go Jeff, go!!

Definitely David....I'm looking for 12 inches or two pounds and Tim Overbaugh will get him overnight......I might lower the length if I find a great pair of 11" fish, a bull and a hen together.....July 17 was one of my best trips this year for big fish.......20 over 10" on one sunny hot afternoon!

Thanks David.....I would be lost without access to brackish water, whether it be Louisiana, South Carolina, Virginia or North Carolina.....tidal waters produce great Bluegill....

Great pair of darkies... love that tidal water.

A look back at a mid July day with mutiple 10" plus gills on the Gronaw Grass Shrimp....That's big bluegill striking next to my right elbow on a day where water temperatures were near 90 degrees on the surface....sometimes there's no rhyme or reason to your success you just execute what comes natural to you....

I know they would work Tooty......The big fish today would have been very exciting on a fly rod.....Some big toads!

Great shot Jeffrey and can you hear my spider wizzing past your right ear on the way to the ring in the water?!!!!!!!!!!! I know you use live bait alot , but I'd really like to test some of my bugs down there!!!! Apparently Sir Leo on the left coast has fair luck with my bugs .

If you look closely adjacent to my right shoulder....you can see active gills in three to four feet of water....The shrimp jig was toast as soon as it hit the water in these regions......Water in the mid 80s and tea black......Great conditions for mid July!
