Tony added a link to some great information Larry....check it out......I have zero ice fishing experience, so many folks are much more qualified than I to talk hard water.....Good Luck!

I love micro plastics.....the thinner the tail the better.

This company is making some very good looking baits.....from the "micro" in their title they have been targeting winter fishing.  The STB grubs look great and the Domination Fry are making  a similar 1" soft plastic with eyes.......I haven't tried any Larry because they are relatively new and haven't been in stock very often......

I tip with them Dilly but if you decide not to you might try hooking right through the ball like a nibble........

Jeff.

I will try these.  They would probably be good under a bobber for cold water.  I might try them in the canal.  My one question is, Does the front ball cause fish to miss the jig, when they bite?

Dilly

Exactly Dilly......the ball ends up close to the jig head and the streaming tail rides by the hook and in the vicinity of whatever you might have tipped on the jig.....I like them early and late to down size around less active fish....During aggressive bites we have lost these baits one a fish before because they are not very durable......

Ive seen these in some of the bait shops.  How do you rig these??  just put the jig through the ball and out the tail???

Certainly not a sturdy bait but I have some success late season and early spring during cold water fishing for panfish......it has always been suggested that smaller is better during these relatively inactive periods so this bait meets that requirement and provides some action with the tail streaming out....I have only found them on line as Tony suggested but worth the try.....
