Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

This gator was killed during a recent hunting lottery on Lake Moultrie. This guy is gone but there are many more so Float Tubing and Wading are out for me!

Helluva gator.

I recall an episode years ago on Lake Orange in central Florida. We had gone out in a small boat and, as usual in Florida, it had turned hot pretty quick. I was in the mood for some cooling off, so I hung over the side of the boat to dip my hat in the water. I was ove the side splashing water on my head, when my brother in law said,

"Uh, you'll wanna quit doing that now."

"Why?" I asked. "It feels nice."

For an answer he pointed about 20 yards away and asked, "See that log over there - the one that's moving towards us?"

At that point, I saw that it wasn't a log... it was a massive alligtaor. And I mean huge!

"Hmmmmm," I said, "next time I wanna cool off, I think I'll look around first."

"Good idea," was all he said.
