Nice Bill, That is a little deeper than what I was headed to fish!!! Temps here are supposed to moderate here over the next few days!!!! It is way to early for ice here!!!

Imasosorry you have such tough decision when you go fishing!!!!!! Must be terrible SO MANY LAKES SO LITTLE TIME!!!!!

No Jeff, this fish was caught on a Striper special.....very similar to a spoon, almost in the spoon family.....mainly an ice fishing jig.

......Although surface temps had dropped to 43.5 deg, the spoons were still getting hit if you let the spoon settle on the lake floor.....bites would come just as the lure settled, no bites were detected...fish would be hooked on the snap of the spoon as the lure touched down.

Wow!  What a fish!  Is that a spoon-caught fish Bill?

Greg, this pond is 5,262 square acres.....and has a max depth of 170 ft. It generally freezes over by mid Jan......about one month after the smaller lakes in this area.

Check-out this map and get a good look at all my local lakes

Muskie, That is a
BEAUTIFUL FISH!!!!!

But tell how is it you have 43.5 degree water away up in the north lands, and my ponds are froze over down here!!!! You are probably looking forward to the ICE and it grinds us to halt fishing wise here!!!!!

Great CATCH!!!!!!
