Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Sorry for the poor lighting.

This is what I carry worms in when I go angling. I'm a half day man, so this plenty big enough. Size this according to your needs.

- Soft sided lunch cooler
- lock top storage container
- Reusable ice pack
- Medicinal liquor flask (optional)
Cooler from thrift store, $1. The other items picked up here and there.
I go out and collect lichen moss for bedding in the lock box.
It is cleaned, dampened and put in. The worms go in next and all is popped in to fridge the NIGHT BEFORE.
This will "scour" the worms...once out of their usual soil, they expel the contents of their gut. This and the dryer moss toughens them for the hook.
Put my rod bag on the truck, hang the worms on my shoulder and away I go.

Okay, I know the type creel you mean, John. I used to have one of those canvas jobs, too.

I just assumed the classy part, since it was you AND you drink PBR. That nearly screams classy. LOL

If you saw the shape of my 'trout creel 'which isn't wicker and is beat up pretty bad canvas material ,you'd realize I was in the same boat as you, and don't deserve the "classy" classification. I thought PBR gave that way anyway.  Hey something that is pretty cool though ;the Trout creel has a twelve inch ruler printed on it .

The trout creel is a classy touch, John.
My set up was dictated by my resourceful and frugal nature.
Chris also mentions the other need.... keeping cool in the heat.
I opted for insulation AND the ease of a soft sided tote.

A wicker creel remains tres cool, however!

I carry a trout creel, two ice pack, put the worms in bait holders  then in the creel .PBR optional .

nice! during these texas summers, i've been using a sort of cooler as a tackle bag for a couple years. It works pretty well if you have a comfortable cooler.
