Plse excuse... what kind of rod you use for 2 lbs test line? 7 ft? 8ft? Your rod seem to be great that hook monster 'gills very well on light line!

I dont read all posts and Jim use 2 lbs test line.... make sense! Deep and clear water to fool big smart bluegills! I learned my lesson that even 4 lbs is not great in Florida! lot of weeds and broken my @#%$@# 4lbs fresh line! I will try 8 or 10 lbs PowerPro line but thin as 2lbs line when I am in Florida or any weeds/woods lake around my home!

Andre big bluegill don't spin. It's more like fighting a bulldog, they make long strong runs

NICE Jim! You seem to catch the big ones in the fall at Perris. I've got to get back on your boat! Way to go Eric on the jig tying.
I just want to tell everyone that Jim only uses 2 lb test line! My money is on him or LedHed to catch the next lake record. And maybe.....?
I think Jim also should contact Tim Overbaugh for a mount. Tim could make a fantastic mount of this fish with those big dark scales.
