all i do is get a sharp knife and cut around the bottom shell plate when you get that off pull the guts out, then get the meat off the shell and skin it

I'm with blugill Sharon, please explain how you get the shell off the turtle. I'd really like to try eating turtle.

How do you kill them and shell them?

boil the meat pick from the bones then put back in the broth add carrats, celery and potataos. boil till vegitables are done .. then we freze it till later.. when we get it out we add half milk to the soup and a spoonfull of dry shery

both turtles were relesed they were to small... and yes i cook them i deep fry them and make soup

I understand there are 7 cuts of meat off a snapping Turtle.Never prepared or ate one .Do you cook and eat them?
