I wasn't sure but I saw the stocking truck once and all the trout they put in the lake where around 10 inches and not as thick as this guy. I assumed it had been in the lake longer.

Is it really a holdover ? Around here in NJ holdovers get darker. I dont know the type water this came from though but I'm interested in knowing.
