The details I have are, these fish are in the cricks early, real early, almost 3 weeks. None of the fish I cleaned had spawn except one small perch that swallowed my hook. The past three years have been amazing I can catch 75 fish a day (keepers) and a million little squirts. Either the bait fish had an amazing hatch or the bluegills have had a great few years. I personaly think the Zebra muscles that have taken over lake winnebago have changed it for the better. Five years ago any north winds and the lake would be dirty for atleast 2 weeks now 2 days of calm weather she is crystal clear, clear enough that weed beds are growing in 10 feet of water, Im thinking these weeds give the small bluegills a new place to hide given the huge population.
