Anything that keeps the other fishermen away is good!

No problem David....it's normally a peaceful place....some big boat traffic as the Pasquotank River is part of the Intracoastal Waterway.....But that's normally folks cruising and taking in all the nature scenes along the way.....My bluegill don't seem to mind!..LOL

I was basically right on the left side of the bridge on the same course as the Hatteras Yacht .....you can see some piers in the photo and we have several city parks that provide access to fishing the river.....I'll return to fish under the bridge after all my construction friends get done in 2014......

The river is about a block wide here in downtown Elizabeth City....you can probably make out the old draw bridge which is undergoing replacement over the next year or so....one of the deepest spots on the river...most of the river is 10 to 12 feet.....I occasionally take a few fish near bottom fishing around the bridge but the construction has ran me off for now......There are a couple spots that make this water accessible from the bank which is always a good thing to see.....

Right where they should be, the little devils. How far from shore was this? Could a shore bound angler even reached them?
