Handemade Wine Cork Floats
I've caught catfish and bluegill with these. It's a waggler floats designed to be cast a long way yet be sensitive. The wine cork is place mid-point on the shaft, making a balanced float.

Keith, the long ones are 18 inches. Given that it's a waggler, it casts like an arrow. They can be drfted and seen from along way off, and telegraph even slight ticklings from below. The long shaft gives it the sensitivity.
