Since from the creek that would make more since as they are found in many creeks. I think you could classify them as a sunfish. Will be neat to see if they survive in a pond, if you catch more you may want to put them in to see if they can survive.

Then again they also compete with LMB and maybe even BG for food, so that may make a difference. I know if I had an opportunity to add them to one of my ponds, I would just to see what happens.

It came from the creek, is now in the pond. Is a Warmouth a bass or bluegill or other? It didn't have the shape of a bluegill unless it was a mutant

It seems I can't take a sharp picture, even with an autofocus camera. It did have a big mouth with a protruding lower lip. Fish is now in my pond to grow.

But looks like a green mix maybe kinda fuzzy and can't see the mouth well.
Pretty paint job anyway.
