sounds like you are gun rich!!! I like the pumps because you can jack another shell in without re-positioning your hand and they pretty much have the accuracy of a bolt action. I am not a collector at all but find it hard to pass up a good deal; sometimes they just plop in your lap.
YA KNOW MARK I have another old one being ovrehauled so to speak and it's a Remington 121 Field Master and can't wait to get it back .......
The wood is gorgeous!
I don't have any firearms, but do enjoy airgun shooting when I get the chance. Totally love my Benjamin Marauder, apart from the weight. It's almost-same-hole accurate at 25 yards, even in the hands of a poor shot like myself :-)
WOW Tooty you are so right ANSCHUTZ rifles are awesome would be proud to own one someday. But the old remingtons made some of the best memories! I still use my model 572A pump 22 for small game.
YA KNOW MARK , my son and I have owned many ANSCHUTZ rifles over the years and are as good as it gets when coming to accuracy, however they still don't match the memories from my childhood growing up with rifles like these.......
Geez Mark your rifles are in incredible condition and real keepsakes to be handed down for sure. Tell ya the truth I've owned many rifles over the years , but these old remingtons are a passion and always like em ....THanks for posting the pic buddy.....
That's a beauty! Looks like it just came out of the box!! Remington 514 was my very first rifle at eight years old it was my pride and joy. I still have it and it will still drill em in there in spite of the thousands of rounds that have passed through. My "22" and Wonderod were to me what a high dollar gaming system is to kids today except it kept me in the woods or on the river and off the couch!! MIne is still in original condition and check out the old model 341 with lyman 422 expert scope. Neither have ever been refinished.
Nice restoration. I have restored several of the old single shots over the years. They are way-better that the new rifles with all the "plastic" parts.
YUP CARL MODEL 514 ...
