Kirbaer, I don't have a drill press, some guys at SmallMouth rendevous were doing this a couple of years ago. Sounds like if we need flipflops we need to see Keith!!!!!!

That's what I'm talking about. This works good. I mounted the pipe in my drill press and used it to cut them out. The drill press was NOT on. I ust used the handle to move it up and down to cut them. I placed an old cutting board under them. Works great.

Greg-

The tornado in May tore a path through the state park where I work. During part of the clean up volunteers picking up trash and debris filled an entire "contractor" size trash bag with nothing but flip-flops and pieces of life-jacket foam. One of my maint. techs snagged it all to use for sein floats and trotline bouys!

John, Bassandgrass is correct I punch out the bodiies using the nipples and a hammer. You can get the nipples at any hardware store maybe 4 or 5 dollars if that much. I grind off the threads on one end so it will go thru the flip-flop.
Then I take a large sewing needle run it thru the punched out body and slide it on the hook.http://www.bigbluegill.com/photo/making-mickey-popper-step-1?contex.... Steve Miller show that on his mickey popper.
