Wait, better include some Gurgle Pops, too, in that assortment.

I was also thinking "Shad"... It would be the first time I've heard of shiners being pursued as take fare, if Tooty is right.

What kind of flies would you like? How about a bluegill assortment?
McGintys, Wooly Buggers, Humbugs, Damsel Nymphs... Sound good?
As for Shealys, that is tolerable. We can work that out, maybe next week.

David L Eitutis.  Are you thinking of the American Shad? I know they run up the Rivers you mentioned and are sought after for their flesh and roe.

David;  You could have this for Lunch at Sheeley's and a couple hand tied flies.

Seriously any of my watercolor fish 8 by 10" posted here can be had for $25.00 and postage. That does not include the larger 16 by 20 Acrylic Gouache paintings.

Wow Rick what a painting . It is my understanding that out Nor East there are lots of folks who chase these with fly rods and eat em regularly. It's a big deal Up East I think in MAINE I believe either around the Penobscot River or Delaware or one of the big waters out there......

Nice work. If had any money, I'd buy that!

Know what would be cool?

To include that quoted story as a side bar to the painting. Placed in a matte and frame it would make an awesome wall piece.

David's story of the Gentleman referencing the cooking of Shiners inspired me to paint this Golden Shiner tonight.
