Nice fish! It's good to see someone measures their fish with the caudal fin closed. A relaxed tail will give the fish a longer measurement than one that's spread wide open. A wide, flared out tail looks cool in photos, but it also shortens the length of the fish. (We taxidermists know this because we charge by the inch....)

Yes it was released.I released just about all of the fish I catch.Except for when I want a meal and then I'll keep eater sizes not breeders.
