IF YOU WANT TO HAVE A LITLE FUN;;  GO TO ONE AREA;; POUR OUT SOME JUMBO MARSHMELLOWS;; THE GATORS WILL GO STRAIGHT FOR THEM !!   FOR A GOOD SKEETER REPELLANT;; USE LISTERINE IN A SPRAY BOTTLE;; KEEPS SKEETERS; GNATS; FLIES ;  AT A DISTANCE !

And there's no size or creel limits on panfish here.

Snakebite, you're right, except the peacefulness was constantly interrupted by the growls of Gators and the fact they continued to chase my top water rig all the way to the bank where I was standing. Even had an 11 footer come in and post up watch about 5 feet away. The locals said he lives there and will steal your bounty from your stringer or snatch it off your line when you're landing it.

Only thing I dislike about public fishing, is everyone has the same mindset as me suns up time to fish. Ha

You're right Slip, I was thinking and hoping the same thing until I saw 60 people fishing the bank line, several with coolers full of 6" gills and redears and 12" bass.

this water still has me so confused... it looks like one could go down there and catch a state record on successive days... need to put this on my bucket list

Thanks  Shannon This brings back memories for me , as a kid my Dad took me there and every fish we caught weighed over a pound, it was Great !I was never so scared  after I accidentally poked an alligator in the ribs and the front of the boat felt like it rose 2 feet out of the water .That was some of the best fishing  I have ever seen.  LOFR
