This is my one gripe. In this part of the midlands there aren't many places to fish. Not public access, anyway. Ideally, I'd like a lake or pond across the yard.

Meanwhile, I have to make an excursion out of any attempt to go fishing. I think I need to get over it, and hit the road.

My normal commute in North Carolina is 62 miles one way........So driving distance is different for me......Francis Marion is about 25 minutes from the hotel and I have several other areas less than a half hour or so in the vicinity of work....Motto....I will drive to get to fish!

How many places are within "after work" driving distance?

We're here as a family....grandchildren and all.......they hit the beach while I was working so I hit the forest when I got off........The insects are way too bad to take the kids out in the forest.....they drink deet like fruit juice in those woods......I've been extended another three weeks so I have to make do in the Low Country for a while......

Work is for people that don't know how to fish right David! Sure I work but with longer days I chase gills up to dark.....
