Well, I'm 'always' fishing for bluegills, but by happenstance, I came across this wiry and very feisty young blue catfish. About a 3 pounder.

Caught it on my special worm baits. I also use my homemade bluegill dough bait.

I also caught about 30 nice size bluegills. I've just created this page, so from here on out, I will be showing you some pictures of the bluegills.

Ask me anything you like about bluegills, and keep in mind that we are in North Texas, Dallas area... The bluegills here run about 4" inches to about 6" inches on average. And weight-wise they run anywhere from 5 ozs to a half pound.
We seldom see the larger variety of bluegills in the city lakes, but they frequently live in larger lakes like Sam Rayburn, Ray Hubbard, etc.
