Went back for an hour  last evening and couldnt find one berry .Guess the Crappie climbed up on shore and ate them all . I caught several small Crappie and Gills by the pipe/wall.Got them on a tiny Rapala .a Keitech easy shiner and a 32nd oz Squirrel tail Jig.

Indeed.......I once took a bar of Ivory soap to a farm pond for channel cats suggested by my grandfather.  To my surprise, I caught five crappie on little chinks of Ivory soap and we had no idea they were in this pond.......one of those crazy days fishing

This catch blew me away Jeffrey. A hunch that worked great is always a good thing .I have heard Carp will feed on wild fruits so i tried it out after catching a few small crappie with tube jigs. This fish was right up against an inflow pipe and I have a strong feeling this is not the 1st berry he has seen and eaten . FREE BAIT !
