I use those Storm Wildeye baits too .Usually in the summer .I've caught Pickerel, Bass and Crappie on them .I like the action and the way they sink back to the fish when ya stop the retrieve instead of floating up .

They are definitely a go to bait for sure! And I never let my tackle box run out

Those Storm Wildeye Shad lures are amazing.  I always have a few stashed away in my tackle bag/boxes.  I would recommend that any beginning angler get some and learn how to use them.

Slip, I was rigged up with my largemouth gear due to the rocks and heavy current so I had my abu garcia revo sx Bait caster and at the time a veritas rod, spooled up with 6 or 8lb diameter power pro and a 4" pearl colored wild eye shad and I was throwing it up in the heavy current letting it drift down and every 3 seconds I was giving it a jerk and a pause

Incredible fish and incredible fight for sure. I caught a 9 lb 2 oz 26 inch hybrid that was one of the most memorable fights I ever had...can't imagine what this one would do in that fast water. Mine was at night. Congrats!

Count me in 25lb Hybrid Striped bass, 2 pound bluegill, 30lb bluecat all in 1/4acre pond.

LOL snakebite -if they did there wouldn't  be any other fish left.

I really wish they would grow that big or bigger in ponds.
