Opportunists

Stumbled across a very large school of them the nite before surface feeding. I just want back the next day and scan them with the sonar and they were still there but in deeper water. but that insect profile admittedly does something to them it triggers an instinctive strike even when they're not actively feeding.

So far using these Burke critters I've caught on these patterns:  Hellgrammite, Cricket, Stonefly nymph , Mayfly nymph , Caddis worm ,Yellow  Grasshopper, and White Grub . I still have other types to try .

i Really like the Gulp Helgramite when it comes to the bug profile... that day, side by side they were catching the biggest gills of the day compared to crawler bits and Waxies.

Yes Carl this time of year in small streams  I like using the Burke terrestrials as well as  tied ants .Black always does well in this stream. Those Burke/Crème plastic Critters catch a lot of fish ! The hold up well and are extremely realistic looking ! Plus ,and Tooty will like this , they are an old traditional nostalgic bait!
