hoping this will hold up to what i plan to use it for.found some monster carp in a pond we had great success for bluegills on.very overgrown but managed as a prairie restoration area.i ussually dont like 8ft rods but this one should help keep the backcasts out of the tall grass.hopefully will get to find out if this rod can handle a 20lb plus fish
