jim-- your right buddy! weather like this does kill a awful lot of fish! hope you make it thru the rest of the winter ok!! just keep that fluffy stuff up there with you tho!! LOL!

main thing i am worried about is fish kills,
when the ice gets this thick the oxygen runs out.small natural ponds by my house just started to recover from fish kills 6 yrs ago and it was not this cold this long.we have 40mph winds today but it warmed up to 17.more snow sat and sun and a high on mon of -3

Seeing this picture, and watching the news makes our current sunny 27 degrees here in GA.seem not so bad. I remember those days all too well, Jim. Weather like this has a way of making one appreciate Spring.
