The biggest pumpkinseed i ever caught was just over 9 inches this ones only 8 inches still bigger than the average pumpkinseed. They also are much fatter than bluegills when they get that big. Fishings always a blast no matter what you catch.

I NEED to know what the biggest pumpkinseeds are that you see. The one in the picture looks like she's about to blow up. That is an impressive catch.

I love to catch pumpkinseed to me pound for pound they are the toughest fighting fish of them all, get a 4 incher on and you think you have a lunker bass. You would of love it up here in the spring the bluegill fishing was incredible there wasn't a day for weeks i didnt get my limit and they were slob gills. One day you would limit out on blue gills the next day you had your limit 23 of them would be pumpkinseed.

wow. i will catch a pumpkinseed before i leave this earth. i think they are an amazing sunfish. we dont have them down south.
