I'm starting to think maybe ole Jeremy's into grudge fishing... Truth be told, I was so amazed at how you were pulling em out of those tree tops I couldn't concentrate on my casting.
I'll have to admit, crickets are the best for tree tops down there where you smoked me, but up here at the lake where there's not so much structure, the Bitsy is the bomb...Not to say that the Bitsy isn't good around some structure. If it's not too dense the Bitsy will usually bounce off limbs and such with no problem.
But just so you know, I won't be intimidated by your red fishing line, your bream busters, or your 500 trembling crickets...I'm looking forward to our next trip whether it's here in Mississippi or back in the Delta. Hey, let's go fishing!!!
Yeah, those coppernose are my favorite. I can always get good fillets when I catch the coppernose...

dont let him fool you... The bitsy works so good against the crickets because most folks use only a 9ft stick round here and there. Water clarity means being super slow and watch were you cast you shadows. If your stealthy and quite you can really work on some heavy tops better with crickets. But I will admit He did tear me up usin that bitsy....... Then I started thinkin Wait!!!! He just kept me and my crickets out of range and was fishn a flat with no structer constantly movin. Ask what the bitsy did when I put him in the delta on the back of the boat!!!!
Thank you Richard!! I'm always willing to try a new twist to my ever expanding arsenal of tools to bring Bluegill scrapers to hand. I have had it in the far corner of my mind to try this method.
Please be assured that the "Bitsy" tool is safe with me. lol ole Mike
Well I'll tell ya Mike, this "Bitsy" is a pretty powerful thing for a fella to have in his fishing arsenal. A man with plenty of time on his hands and a good place to fish could clean out a pond in no time. Yep, the "Bitsy" is a lure that has to be used responsibly and somewhat sparingly. I'd hate to think I let the cat out of the bag and then in a few weeks I find that bream have been added to the list of endangered species...
I'll tell you what, you seem like a pretty responsible kinda fella, I'll tell you where you can probably find ole "Bitsy". Next time you're in the local Walmart store or a Bass Pro Shop looking at tackle and such, look around there where they have the so called "Pan Fish" lures. The "Bitsy" is a very small crank bait with two very small treble hooks that will end up in your fingers quick, fast and in a hurry if you're not careful. I've seen em in four or five different colors and I've found that all of em catch fish.
Interestingly, the "Bitsy" doesn't just catch bream. I frequently catch bass and small catfish on it as well.
Just be careful... those little hooks will gitcha if you aren't careful. You'll want to use some needle nose pliars to remove this bait from the fish's mouth.
Ok Richard, you've got my attention!! Crickets don't seem to work for me in this area. Should I assume that "Bitsy" is, and will remain, in hiding? lol ole Mike
Hey, I've got that "PATOW" polished up pretty good. Me and Adam went last Friday and caught a good mess. We had 37 big bream and 3 bass. Good eating!!!
Hey, I'll put "Bitsy" up against crickets any day of the week. I've outfished everybody I've fished with when I use the "Bitsy", no matter what they're fishing with. That may change though when it get's really cold and the bream go deep. We'll see... I may have to put a little weight on the line and get it down there where they're hanging out.

Yea you need a GROWN MAN TABLE! I told you them crickets and a stick would work better. What happend to the bitsy? Were usin sticks when I come up so you better start workin on your "PATOW" technique.
Hey Mike, I caught these on crickets. I actually caught fifty but my little cleaning table wouldn't hold em all. I'm planning to build one much bigger in the near future.
