What a gene pool.....This river is over fished but it's still holding some great Coppernose and shellcrackers.......

Thanks to all of you for the kind words....this gill is still my favorite so far this season....not because he's the biggest but based on the genetics and the potential that these fish have to really turn into that trophy.....That keeps me returning to these places year after year for the discovery....This fish fought harder than my personal best Bluegill but lacked well over a pound to that fish....The "Frisbee" gills are special when you catch one!
